- Overview
NetDiag ("we", "our", or "the app") is a network diagnostics tool for iOS.
This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights
regarding that data.
- Data We Collect and Store
NetDiag does not operate any servers and does not collect or transmit your
personal data to the developer.
a) On-Device Storage Only
The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:
- Scan history (ping results, traceroute hops, DNS records, port scan
results, speed test results)
- App settings and preferences
- Purchase status (cached locally for offline use)
This data can be deleted at any time via Settings → Clear All History.
b) Network Requests Made by App Features
Some features send network data to third-party servers as part of their
normal operation:
- Speed Test: Your device connects to Cloudflare servers to measure
upload/download speed. Cloudflare may log your IP address per their
own privacy policy.
- IP Geolocation: Your public IP address is sent to a geolocation API
to return location data. This is the core function of that feature.
- DNS Lookup, Traceroute, Port Scanner, Ping: These features make
standard network requests to the hosts you specify. No data is sent
to the developer.
- Third-Party Services
NetDiag integrates the following third-party SDKs that may collect data
independently:
a) RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)
Used to process and verify purchases. RevenueCat may collect:
b) Google AdMob (Advertising)
Used to display ads to free-tier users. Google AdMob may collect:
- Device advertising identifier (IDFA), which you can reset or limit
in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Device model, OS version, and language
- Approximate location (coarse, derived from IP)
